Sting Concert in Pula, South West Sardinia: it has been annonunced the last week the first big event of next Summer 2018 in Sardinia: the Sting concert at the Forte Arena in Santa Margherita di Pula (35 km west of Cagliari, in South Sardinia).

Sting – born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner (in Wallsend, Northumberland) – is an English musician with millions of fans all around the World, since he was the principal songwriter, lead singer, and bassist for the new wave rock band the Police (from 1977 to 1986). Then he launched his amazing solo career in 1985. He has sold over 200 million records and was awarded with lots of prizes: 6 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and the Polar Music Prize in 2017 (an award known to be a sort of the “Nobel prize” for music, founded in 1989 by Stig Anderson, the manager of the Swedish band ABBA). Plus in 2000 he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for recording, while in 2003 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Police. Always in 2003, Sting received a CBE from Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace for services to music, and he was made a Kennedy Center Honoree at the White House in 2014.
