Capriccioli beach

Capriccioli is one of the most beautiful and appreciated beaches of the whole Costa Smeralda. Placed near the Cala di Volpe bay (and its famous luxury hotel), very close to La Celvia beach, and not far from Principe Beach as well, Capriccioli is an absolutely stunning beach with crystal clear turquoise water and sandy bottom, bordered by rocks (even in the water so that that you can easily swim out to, climb on and jump off) and Mediterranean trees (like juniper, pine, olive trees where you can relax in the shadows).

Capriccioli, a familiy oriented beach:

It’s a very family oriented beach amazing for snorkeling in a sea so calm and smooth that looks like a swimming pool (there’s so many fishes swimming around you, that you can easily see even without snorkel gear) or, if you want to fully relax, just take a sunbath, enjoying the view of millionaires on yachts with the beautiful Mortorio, Soffi and Le Camere islands on the background. As for facilities there’s an helpful tourist information office in the beach bar, a restourant with simple but nice dishes, and toilets.

Despite the fact that Capriccioli is composed by two beaches separated by rocks actually, the lying area is comparatively smaller than other beaches. It means that Capriccioli tends to get easily crowded by 11 AM, so you might find people sitting very close by. If you want to fully enjoy this beach you should choose to go off season, in May or September for example (but water temperatures remains around 26 degrees up to October).

If you are a beach lover this is one that simply you can’t miss.

By the way if you have a boat this is the best way to visit this area of Sardinia, visiting more beaches, avoiding the crowd and swimming in the emerald water of Costa Smeralda just jumping off it, like the people in the picture below is doing in Cala di Volpe sea. Here are the Blue Flag Marinas in Sardinia.

Where Capriccioli beach is? How to get and parking:

Very easy to get from Olbia, Capriccioli is one of the most easily accessible Costa Smeralda beaches, thanks to the large parking next to the beach. Payment is required for parking from 9,00 AM to 7,30 PM: 1.50 euros an hour or 7.50 for a day.
