Sardinia Ferries: new routes, ships and discounts in the summer of 2016!
There are many innovations about maritime transport to and from Sardinia in Spring / Summer 2016, not only the prices of the tickets are generally declining, but new operators have entered the market with new links between our island, Italy and France.
Three are the main ports in Sardinia – Olbia, Porto Torres and Cagliari (plus Arbatax, Ogliastra) – linked by ferries of the most important Italian companies: Tirrenia CIN, Sardinia Ferries, Moby Lines, GNV, Grimaldi Lines. Links are regular throughout the year but become much more frequent in summer, when thousands of tourists arrive in our island.
The new routes between France, Corsica and Sardinia operated by Sardinia Ferries:
- Nizza / Porto Vecchio / Golfo Aranci: operating from May 30 to September 3, 2016, up to 4 night departures per week.
- Golfo Aranci / Porto Vecchio/ Golfo Aranci: up to 4 departures per week from 31 May to 4 September 2016.
- Tolone / Porto Torres / Porto Vecchio: 2 night weekly departures from June 14 to September 4, 2016
- Porto Torres / Porto Vecchio: from June 15 to September 5, 2016, up to 2 departures per week.
The same company continues to operate on the Livorno-Golfo Aranci route also using its flagship, the Mega Andrea, completely renewed after 6 months of restyling for maximum comfort and maximum safety.
The news about Grimaldi Lines for Sardinia:
Among the big news this year is the triple commitment of the Grimaldi Lines shipping routes to Sardinia, not only in fact the Civitavecchia-Porto Torres-Barcellona become annual, but two new links are established: Civitavecchia-Olbia and Livorno -Olbia.
In summary, these are the links to Sardinia operated by Grimaldi lines:
