Finnaly we got the long-awaited green light, bad weather conditions and the strong Mistral wind expected in the coming days convinced the organizers to withdraw any term , the 12th Frozen Open Surf Contest will take place Sunday, September 6, 2015 on the legendary beach surfer: The Marinedda (Trinità d’ Agultu, Costa Rossa).
The most beautiful surf contest in Italy:
Among the champions who, over the years, have tamed the waves of La Marinedda there are the Brazilian Alfo Scavone, the European champion Eric Rebiere, but also Italians as Francisco Porcella, Leonardo Fioravanti and Roberto D’Amico. This surf contest is known as the most beautiful one in Italy for its big waves, athletes of international fame and huge jackpots (five thousand Euros in total, spread to two thousand euro cash plus the technical material GoPro offered by sponsors, House of Marley and Hades).
The organizer of the association Marineddabay says:
This year we will call the race in challenging sea conditions, we therefore expect a consistent storm, but, at the same time, it will allow long rides. The good news for athletes is that this year the shallows of the bay is well formed and allows the waves to open up to several hundred meters.
Appointment with the waves for Sunday, September 6, 2015, at 10:00 am:
The time for the race has come, almost half of the waiting period, which this year ran from August 15 to September 15, a sort of early warning for the athletes. They will participate in a maximum of 36 artists of the waves, the first 30 were already taken, what are you waiting for?
The race will also be a step of the Italian championship shortboard Fisurf.
